DESCRIPTION
In the Woods Again, Again is a dance, kinetic art, and live music experience. As an audience member, you’ll join fellow guests for a drink and snack before entering the moving art gallery. The space will be transformed by interactive art pieces, a live musical group in the center of the exhibit and a one hour dance performance that will take place around you as you move through the space.
“I went into the woods to lose my mind and find my soul”. The show centers around exploration of the human mind, the hope and tragedy it contains and our deepest fantasies played out through the people who surround us. In the midst of abstract depictions of how our mind copes with trauma, love and loss, we find our characters connecting energetically and serving as instruments to fulfill the visions of an individuals mind. The show title centers less on the act of being in the woods and revolves around an emotional state; a place we sometimes find ourselves lost in. The beauty and discovery of being in this place in our minds, mixed with the fear and danger of unknown depths we never thought we could reach. The show illustrates our fundamental need to connect as humans and how we can sometimes find ourselves lost along the way.
Please join us for this special event as Concept o4 partners with Little Boxes Theater to create this immersive piece. Kinetic art dreamed up and executed by Conor Grebel with music composition by Ayaka Matsui and Natasha Adorlee Johnson. The work will be danced by Juliann Witt, Katerina Wong, Alec Guthrie and Maggie Stack.
Tickets will be capped at 40 per show to maintain an intimate and unique experience for each audience member.
